Following the launch of vivo’s X200 Pro mini, Oppo appears to be working on its own mini flagship, the Oppo Find X8 Mini. According to recent leaks from China, the Find X8 Mini is expected to launch alongside the Find X8 Ultra by mid-2025, offering a high-end experience in a smaller form factor.
Oppo Find X8 Mini – Leaked Specifications
The Oppo Find X8 Mini is rumored to feature a 6.31-inch LTPO OLED display with a “1.5K” resolution. The screen will also incorporate an optical in-display fingerprint sensor, ensuring a seamless and premium design.
On the camera front, Oppo is stepping up its game by including a Sony IMX9 series main sensor, accompanied by a 50 MP high-quality periscope zoom camera. This setup promises impressive imaging capabilities, especially for a device in the compact segment.
Under the hood, the Find X8 Mini will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 SoC, the same chip that drives the Find X8, Find X8 Pro, and vivo X200 Pro mini. This ensures flagship-level performance, capable of handling demanding tasks and providing smooth multitasking.
Design and Build
Leaked details suggest the Find X8 Mini will sport a metal frame with glass panels on both the front and back, adding to its premium feel. Wireless charging support is also confirmed, a feature that further enhances its appeal as a high-end, compact device.
Smaller-Screen Devices Making a Comeback
2025 seems to be shaping up as an exciting year for fans of smaller-screen smartphones, especially in China. The vivo X200 Pro mini has already set the tone, and now Oppo is ready to follow suit with its Find X8 Mini. Unfortunately, while the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro have global launches on the horizon, it remains unclear whether the Find X8 Mini will make its way to international markets.
