Final Certification Secured, Launch Imminent

LML recently achieved a critical milestone by securing the Central Motor Vehicles Rules (CMVR) certificate, a key regulatory approval required to ensure compliance with government safety and quality standards for road-legal vehicles. Commenting on the achievement, Yogesh Bhatia, MD and CEO of LML, said, “Securing the CMVR Certificate for the LML Star demonstrates that we meet the highest industry standards in both technology and safety. With its advanced features, premium design, and top-tier performance, the LML Star is set to redefine what electric mobility in India can be.”

While the exact launch date remains undisclosed, LML has confirmed that the Star will hit the roads in 2025. Upon launch, it will face stiff competition from established players like Ola S1 Pro, Ather 450X, TVS iQube, and Bajaj Chetak in India’s booming electric scooter market.

LML Star: Range, Battery, and Performance

One of the key highlights of the LML Star is its best-in-class range. According to LML, the Star can deliver a range of up to 203 km on a single charge, making it the longest-range electric scooter in India. Although the exact battery capacity remains under wraps, the scooter is expected to feature two removable battery packs for added convenience.

Powering the LML Star is an electric motor capable of producing 7.8 bhp, allowing the scooter to achieve a top speed of 90 kmph. With this combination of power and range, the Star is well-positioned to cater to both city commuters and long-distance riders.

Futuristic Design and Advanced Features

LML has gone for a futuristic mid-maxi scooter design for the Star, which is evident from the dual-tone black and white body accented with striking red highlights. It features LED DRLs, projector headlights, and rides on 14-inch alloy wheels. The design patent hints at a sporty yet practical profile, aimed at offering a premium riding experience.

Inside the cockpit, the Star comes equipped with a fully digital display and a wireless charging pad. On the safety front, it offers advanced features like:

  • Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
  • Hill Hold Assist
  • Reverse Mode
  • Anti-lock Braking System (ABS)

These features, combined with its stylish aesthetics and robust performance, make the LML Star a standout option in the electric two-wheeler segment.
