Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi Note 14 globally, just a month after its debut in India. The international rollout brings both the 5G variant and an all-new LTE-only model, offering users more choices across different price points. While the 5G version sees improvements in the camera department, the LTE variant offers a budget-friendly option with a slightly downgraded feature set.
Redmi Note 14 5G: Key Features
The global version of the Redmi Note 14 5G is powered by the Dimensity 7025 Ultra chipset, although the differences between this and the regular Dimensity 7025 remain unclear. Paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, the phone is well-equipped to handle multitasking and demanding applications.
- Display:
The device sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with Full HD+ resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 2,100 nits, making it ideal for outdoor use. The display also houses an under-display fingerprint scanner and is protected by Gorilla Glass 5. - Camera:
The 108 MP main camera with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) takes center stage, backed by a 1/1.67-inch sensor with 0.64 μm pixels. An 8 MP ultrawide lens and a 2 MP macro shooter complete the rear setup. A 20 MP front-facing camera sits in the punch-hole cutout for selfies and video calls. - Battery and Charging:
The 5,110 mAh battery supports 45W wired charging, and Xiaomi includes a 45W charger in the box—unless you’re in the EU, where regulations prevent bundling adapters with devices. - Software:
The Redmi Note 14 runs on HyperOS based on Android 14, offering a refreshed user experience with features like AI Erase, AI Sky, and AI Beautify. The pre-installed Gemini app adds generative AI capabilities for creative tasks. - Durability:
The phone boasts an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance, an improvement over its predecessor’s IP54 certification. Notably, it retains the 3.5 mm audio jack, a rare feature in today’s smartphones.
The Redmi Note 14 5G will be available in Black, Purple, and Coral Green colors, with memory options of 6/128 GB, 8/256 GB, and 12/512 GB, though availability will vary by region.
Redmi Note 14 LTE: Budget-Friendly Alternative
The Redmi Note 14 LTE offers a more affordable option with a slightly larger footprint and a few downgrades in hardware:
- Chipset:
Powered by the Helio G99, a 2.5-year-old chipset, the LTE variant delivers reliable performance for everyday tasks. - Display:
It retains the 6.67-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass protection, though peak brightness is capped at 1,800 nits. - Camera:
While the main 108 MP sensor remains, it lacks OIS, and the ultrawide lens is replaced by a 2 MP depth sensor. The 2 MP macro camera and 20 MP selfie shooter are retained. - Battery and Charging:
The LTE version packs a larger 5,500 mAh battery with support for 33W wired charging. Once again, the adapter is included unless you’re in the EU. - Durability:
The phone has an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance and also features a 3.5 mm headphone jack. - Software:
Like its 5G sibling, the LTE variant runs HyperOS on Android 14, with basic AI tools to enhance the user experience.
The Redmi Note 14 LTE is available in Black, Purple, Blue, and Lime Green colors, with three memory configurations:
- 6/128 GB – €200/£180
- 8/128 GB – €230/£230
- 8/256 GB – Pricing to be confirmed
