Hyundai is gearing up to electrify the SUV market with the launch of the Creta Electric on January 17, 2025. Ahead of its much-anticipated debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, the automaker has revealed key details about the upcoming electric SUV, including its cabin design, new-age technology, and specifications. Poised to take on rivals like the MG ZS EV, Mahindra BE 6, Tata Curvv EV, and the upcoming Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, the Creta Electric promises a futuristic driving experience at a competitive price point.
Cabin and Interior Features
Hyundai has made several thoughtful changes to differentiate the cabin of the Creta Electric from its internal combustion engine (ICE) counterpart, giving it a premium and modern feel.
- New Steering Wheel: The Creta Electric gets a new three-spoke steering wheel with four dots replacing the Hyundai logo, a design inspired by the Hyundai Ioniq 5.
- Shift-by-Wire Gear Selector: The gear selector has been moved to a control stalk on the right side of the steering column, freeing up space on the center console.
- Updated Center Console: The EV features new cupholders, buttons for the electronic parking brake, auto-hold function, and drive mode selector.
- Dual-Screen Setup: The dashboard retains the dual-screen layout with a digital instrument cluster and infotainment system that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
- EV-Specific Features: The top-spec Executive trim includes the ability to make EV charging payments directly from the infotainment system. The instrument cluster graphics have been updated to display EV-specific information.
- Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) Technology: The Creta Electric features V2L technology, allowing users to power external devices through a three-point power socket in the second row.
- i-Pedal Technology: The EV also includes i-Pedal technology, enabling one-pedal driving, where the driver can accelerate, decelerate, and come to a complete stop using just the accelerator pedal.
