Bajaj Auto is gearing up for the launch of the 2025 Bajaj Pulsar RS200, teasing the updated model once again on its social media platforms. As the only full-fairing sports bike in Bajaj’s lineup, the RS200 has long been a popular choice for enthusiasts. However, it hasn’t received a significant update in years—until now. With the 2025 iteration, Bajaj aims to bring a refreshed version featuring cosmetic tweaks and new-age features, all while retaining its sporty DNA.
Design: Familiar Look with Subtle Enhancements
Based on the teaser and recent spy shots, the 2025 Pulsar RS200 will maintain its signature dual projector headlamp setup and high-mounted clip-on handlebars. The overall silhouette and bodywork remain largely unchanged, staying true to the aggressive styling that has defined the RS200. However, Bajaj is expected to introduce new color schemes and updated body graphics to give the bike a fresh, modern look.
One notable change spotted in the spy shots is a wider rear tyre, which could enhance grip and improve the bike’s stance on the road. While no major updates are expected in the wheel design or braking hardware, the addition of a bigger tyre will likely improve the RS200’s handling dynamics.
Feature Upgrades: Digital Console with Connectivity
While the design remains largely familiar, the 2025 Pulsar RS200 is expected to see a significant upgrade in terms of features. Bajaj is likely to equip the bike with a fully digital instrument cluster, similar to the unit seen on the Pulsar NS200. This console is expected to offer smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth, enabling features like turn-by-turn navigation and real-time notifications, enhancing the overall riding experience.
Engine and Performance: Proven Powerhouse
Under the hood, the 2025 Pulsar RS200 is expected to retain the same 199.5 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This unit produces 24.16 bhp at 9,750 rpm and 18.7 Nm of peak torque at 8,000 rpm, paired with a six-speed gearbox. Known for its spirited performance, this engine offers a fine balance between power and fuel efficiency, making the RS200 a favorite among sportbike enthusiasts.
Hardware: Tried and Tested Setup
The upcoming RS200 is expected to feature telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock, similar to its predecessor. Unlike the recently launched Pulsar NS200, which received USD front forks, the RS200 will stick with the more traditional setup, which has proven reliable for years.
Braking duties will continue to be handled by a 300 mm front disc and a 230 mm rear disc, complemented by dual-channel ABS for enhanced safety. The bike will ride on 17-inch alloy wheels, offering stability and confidence on both highways and city roads.
Pricing and Competition
With the upgrades in features and minor design tweaks, the 2025 Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is expected to be priced slightly higher than the outgoing model, which currently retails at ₹1.74 lakh (ex-showroom). The new price point is likely to hover around ₹1.80 lakh, making it competitive in its segment.
The RS200 will face stiff competition from the likes of the Yamaha R15 V4 and the newly launched Hero Karizma XMR, both of which offer advanced features and strong brand appeal in the entry-level sportbike category.
